Summer - Week 7

Apologies for the lateness of this week's blog!

Mrs Andrews

Our last Year 1 trip was very special! Our guide was impressed with how clever our children were and how engaged they were with the activities. The children explored the gardens learning about composting and observing a wormery; identifying deciduous and evergreen trees and even roleplaying the story of a seed and understanding pollination.

In Maths, we worked on place value and counting to 100.

In English, we have been thinking about setting descriptions and creating our own Planet Zargos for Beegu to live on.

In Science, we thought about the weather and temperature. We thought about what we might pack for a walk in the different seasons.

In Art, the children continued their sunflower painting with Mrs Bryan.

In Woods, we used a flint and steel to make sparks.

We had a very special show and share as we were visited by Rollo's puppies! Thank you, Mrs Hepburn, for letting us have so many cuddles!

Happy Birthday to Arlo and Tristan this week!
