We invited Bess and Mrs Smith to come and listen to us reading our own incredible 'Ug' inspired diary entry. She wagged her tail vigorously so I think she thought they are as fantastic as I did! Mrs Smith was blown away!
We also enjoy reading our work to our friends at the end of a lesson!
3D shape
We have enjoyed learning about 3D shapes. We thought carefully about their features such as faces and edges. We used nets and 3D modelling with marshmallows and sticks in order to create different 3D shapes.
Arrays and multiplication
What better way to enjoy our arrays and multiplication and division topic in Maths, than to use skittles to help us. Unfortunately a few seemed to disappear along the way. I wonder where they went!

We thoroughly enjoyed Clive Pigg's visit. We enjoyed a lively morning which really brought the Stone Age to life!

Stone Henge
Our trip to Stone Henge was an amazing way to bring the Stone Age topic to life. We heard all about the stones and some of the theories behind how they got here and why Stone Henge might have been built, as we walked around, then we visited a barrow and conducted a quasi burial. There was a fascinating museum to explore packed with artefacts and some Neolithic houses. What an incredible day.

Soap Knapping
We looked at the evidence that different tools found by archaeologists can provide us about life in the Stone Age. We looked at how the tools changed during the three periods of the Stone Age in shape and size. We created our own arrow heads from soap and we all realised how hard it must have been to make these from flint!
