I can't believe that we are at the end of the first week already! We have had so much fun this week! The children have been busy catching up, getting to know Mrs Ford and I and working hard!
We have done some English, Art, Music, Woods, ICT and Games.
We are so proud of how well they have settled and we are very excited about the year ahead!
Here are some photographs of the fun we have been having this week!
Fun in the Woods
Play times are happy times!
We have had fun playing with lots of different things! Some of us have really challenged ourselves to go over the top of the cargo net! Mrs Murray has been "squirted" many times with various terrible things by the clics squirters!
Morning fun activities!
We have been enjoying playing with lots of different toys when we come in the morning. We have kept really steady hands with the Kapla towers and if it all falls down we know to just try again! Year 1 is all about keeping on trying your best! I have been treated to "cookies" and lots of beautiful pictures. Everyone has been so good about coming in with a smile and putting all of their things in the right places!
As our introduction to the Castles topic this term we started thinking about castles that we already know a lot about.... sandcastles! We made these beautiful sandcastles using sandpaper. We drew around templates and learnt a good way to cut them out. Finally we designed a flag and then assembled the pieces. What super cutting skills!
Birthday!
Happy birthday Alice! We loved celebrating in our classroom and your cakes were delicious! We hope you have a lovely day!
