This week, the Year 1s have been matching capital letters to small letters and learning the order of the alphabet.
Maths
We have been learning to add and subtract using objects and by jumping on a number line. We first made lots of addition and subtraction stories with different objects and even wrote clever number sentences to match using + - and =.
Science
Year 1 were fascinated by our internal organs, when we did our body lesson, so we learnt about the main organs and bones in our body and what they do. We then pretended to be doctors to check that our organs were working in our classroom medical centre.
